Electric boiler galant: what is it
The use of electric energy for heating rooms can now be found quite often, especially in those areas that are not gasified. And one of the types of such equipment is heating electric boilers Galan.
The principle of operation of such units is fundamentally different from the TENovyh devices, but this difference only benefits, as the efficiency of the process increases and the power consumption decreases. Of course, the last two qualities can be put at the forefront, therefore, in this article we will talk about such equipment, as well as show you a video clip reflecting this topic.

Electrode boilers
How it works

Note. First of all, it should be noted that any electric heating boiler GALAN, regardless of its size and power, is a flow type system with the ionic method of heating the coolant. All these units together with the heating circuit, be it radiators or underfloor heating, in accordance with the standards and requirements of Electrical Installations and GOST 12.1.030-81 are allowed to work only if there is grounding.

In practice, the heating boiler GALANT is a tank with two polar electrodes and two openings for the entry and exit of the coolant (most often the heaters have a cylindrical shape).
The mains voltage for the device, depending on its modification, may be:
- either 220V;
- or 380V.
But in any case, the current frequency remains equal to 50 Hz, and this figure is given for a reason. It turns out that the principle of heating here is based on the closing of the circuit, just as in the case of heating elements, only there the nichrome spiral serves as a jumper, and here the heat carrier itself.
When the coolant passes through the tank, the polarity of the electrodes changes 50 times per second. Consequently, ions also have to change the direction of motion with the same frequency. From such a speed, the temperature of the liquid rises, that is, in the language of physics, there is a process of its ionization (not electrolysis, as some people think).

For those who are disturbed by a liquid immersed electrode (no matter how hard it hits!), We can say that the safety instructions exclude this possibility and here's why.
The current, as you know, passes along the path of least resistance, and this path is just between the two ends of the rods and can in no way affect the fluid in the heating circuit except for its heating. You can also reassure those who are afraid of fire in the event of a heater leakage - in the event of a fluid leak, the circuit between the electrodes opens and the system naturally turns off.

Note. Heating systems that operate from various modifications of the Galan system can be supplemented with thermostats. They can be installed either on radiators or boiler automatics and they will monitor the condition of the microclimate in the room.
Connection

- In the upper diagram, you can see how the electric heating boiler GALAN is connected to the radiator circuit of heating.. Everything is very simple - the main thing is that you correctly calculate the ratio of the power of the boiler itself and the needs of the system, but this is easy to do - in the passport of radiators and in the passport of the boiler you can always read this data. But we should also not forget that, first of all, you need to calculate the necessary power for the room.

- When connecting a floor heating system, be sure to flush it and it is desirable that it was an inhibitor Projector - if there was another heater before, then there is necessarily salt in the circuit that will not allow you to adjust the density of the fluid to adjust the boiler. Refueling the system must be distilled water.

- Also, you can connect your own two-circuit system - radiators and a heated floor, where the installation of the boiler is similar to the two upper installations. But these circuits need different temperature of the coolant, so a three-way valve (10) is slammed into the supply pipe on the heated floor. This device will automatically discharge hot water into the return pipe when a sufficient temperature is reached in the floor heating system.
Conclusion
It should be noted that the price of GALAN in comparison with the heating boiler of the same capacity will be less. Also do not forget that the heater should always be above the supply pipe and be in an upright position. The first 120 cm of exit should be made of galvanized pipe.
