How to equip a stove for a bath out of the pipe without help
The stove for a bath is the main and, perhaps, one of the most important elements of the building, the degree of comfort and health benefits of the visitors, as well as the aesthetic component to a certain extent depends on it. Finished expensive products are not affordable for everyone, but a self-made stove for a bath from a pipe is available in the arrangement for everyone who can fit in well with the interior. If you are interested in this option, then our article will be useful to you.

Furnaces from pipes
Structurally homemade foci are performed in two versions:
- With a horizontal arrangement, the so-called horizontal ovens.
- Vertical furnaces for a bath from a pipe.
At any location of the housing, the composition of the metal pipe stove is as follows:
- Fire chamber in which the selected fuel is loaded.
- Blowing out, which ensures the presence of sufficient thrust and at the same time discharge of residuals of the burned-out fuel (ash).
- Grate made of cast iron, separating the firebox and blew. They are directly the process of burning fuel.
- Box for stones. These red-hot stones create a hot atmosphere in the bath, and when watered with water they increase the humidity in the steam room.
- Chimney for removal of combustion products from the stove.
- Capacity for heating water. It may be a continuation of the furnace, and may be located on the stones.
Note! You should know that for all the above elements, you should use only new and high-quality materials. Metal, reused, no longer possesses that set of qualities, the operational life of products from such "waste" is reduced by several times.
Advantages and disadvantages of stoves from a pipe
A stove made of a pipe for a bath with your own hands will, in the first place, make it possible to significantly save on the arrangement of the steam room, especially if the required pipe is already in your farm. The price of factory-made designs can seriously affect the total cost of building a bath.
In addition, the furnace from the pipe to the bath still has many advantages over its counterparts from other materials:
- For this design does not need a serious powerful foundation for a brick or stone hearth.

- The best resistance to the high temperatures created when burning fuel.
- The simplicity of design, allowing to make a stove in the bath of the pipe with his own hands.
- Known strength and durability of the metal.
- Faster heating of the steam room.
- The ability to use different types of fuel.
- Mobility design. The design is easily and without damage to it transferred if necessary to any other place.
In fairness, it should be noted the negative aspects associated with the operation of such a hearth in the building:
- The metal stove heats up as quickly as it cools down. This threatens you with repeated (sometimes repeated) throwing of combustible raw materials into the furnace during bathing events, which increases fuel consumption.
- Uneven distribution of warm air from the metal hearth. This becomes noticeable if the bath room is too large. In this case, the installation of two stoves should be provided.
Note! The stove in the bath of the pipe is made using a welding machine, therefore equipping the hearth, take care of the availability of a stable source of electricity.

Manufacturing technology
Having the skills of this kind of work, it is easy to make a drawing of a stove for a bath from a pipe after looking, for example, in the sales area for a finished structure of a similar configuration. It is enough to know the main dimensions and dimensions of the product in order to independently make the calculation.
Tip! The easiest way to find the necessary drawings of the furnace from the pipe for a bath on our website.
As for manufacturing, here is a small instruction on what and how to make a cylindrical hearth for your steam room:
- The design of the bath furnace can be made of sheet metal or of a pipe of suitable size. In any case, the thickness of the metal should be at least 8 mm. Such a thick sheet steel is quite difficult to bend and weld, so a simpler version with less labor costs is a stove for a bath from a pipe with your own hands.
- The tube for the manufacture of the hearth must be a diameter of 500 mm or more. Such a pipe will require two parts with a length of 600 and 900 mm. From a part of a greater length, the following items will be carried out: a fire chamber, a blower and a pocket for stones; from the second - capacity for heating water.

Works are performed in the following sequence:
- Initially, in the larger pipe we cut out a hole for the blower with the help of a grinder or a gas burner. And we immediately equip it with a door that moves freely on its hinges.

- A future fire chamber will be located above the blower, and as we know, these chambers are divided by grates, they are mounted on special supports, welded from the inside of the pipe. For the firebox you also need a hinged door, not necessarily the same thickness as the body of the stove, 3-4 mm is enough.

- For the arrangement of the third compartment-pocket with stones will need another bottom separating the heater from the heater. It is cut from sheet metal and immediately cut out the hole of the desired diameter to pass through the stone pocket of the chimney.
- The chimney is carefully welded to the edge of this hole in the bottom of the heater, in order to avoid the penetration of combustion products into the interior of the bathhouse. If you plan to use a solid pipe for the chimney, the stove from the pipe for the bath should already be installed on the place where it is planned to operate.
Note! Only natural materials such as flat pebbles, granite, etc. are used to fill the stove. It is unacceptable to use in the form of a heating element of broken concrete, brick and something like that.
- The bottom of the tank for heating water is performed like the bottom of a heater with a slot for a smoke outlet. However, you can use a thinner car (5-6 mm). The chimney is reliably welded to the bottom of the tank, now so that there is no leakage of water inside the furnace.

- A removable lid is installed on the tank, allowing access to the inside of the product to clean it from waste.
- In the case of the tank we make a hole on the side and install a tap for hot water intake.
After all that has been done, it remains to perform a test run, during which it is not recommended to heat the product to the limit.
The test mode will help you decide on the following:
- Did you find the right place for the stove?
- Is there enough heat?
- Is there smoke in the room?

Outbreak Installation Tip
The stove is mounted, of course, in the steam room compartment.
But you can install it in such a way that the neck of the furnace is located in the waiting room, this is the best position, as with him:
- A place is freed in the steam room, because the woodshed is automatically transferred to the waiting room.
- Firewood in the waiting room will not dampen and will always be at hand.
Note! The main thing is to protect all burning materials near the stove from a random spark.
Conclusion
Please note that the above described method of constructing a bath hearth is a variant of making a vertically positioned structure. The horizontal stove for a bath is made of a somewhat different technology from the tube, a description of which you will also find on our website (read also the article Gazebo from a profile tube: construction using available tools and materials).
Good luck in your workflow!
