Meet the air heating system
Air heating systems for homes, public buildings, and industrial plants in the United States and Western Europe are in high demand. That can not be said about Eastern Europe and, in particular, the Russian Federation.
The benefits of this method of heating before water are more than obvious, but the main reason for this unpopularity is the most banal lack of information. Both large companies and small firms and private entrepreneurs in most cases simply do not offer this type of heating to customers, and sometimes they don’t even know about it.

Nevertheless, the parable of the all-conquering good works in this situation - small, medium-sized, large companies and private entrepreneurs became interested in this type of heating, which led to the advancement and ever-increasing demand.
At the moment, more and more enterprises enter into contracts for the supply and installation of such equipment in their workshops, and in the private sector there are entire villages that are heated in this way. Our goal at the moment is to explain the advantages and types of heating with air as well as possible in more detail, as well as to show a thematic video clip.
We are heated by air - than it is good
Note. If we talk about heating systems in general, then the most famous and acceptable in Russia can be called a stove, electric (heating cable and PLEN or IPO), as well as water (radiators and underfloor heating).
The last option is most common, and if you compare air heating with it, you can without any doubt define priorities on three basic principles of demand - this is cost-effective, combined with efficiency, comfort and safety.

- Efficiency with air heating is about 90%, which is on average 26-30% higher than that of radiators. Someone can say that the efficiency of a warm water floor can reach 107%, but this is possible only with an expensive condensing boiler, while equipment here is much cheaper.
- Various systems of air heating absorb 600W / hour of electricity to the maximum, but this is only in working condition, and they turn off automatically when the required temperature condition is reached.. It turns out that in buildings with sufficient thermal insulation, the inclusion will be only episodic, and the active phases will be observed much less passive. All equipment for air heating systems pays off within 2-3 years, therefore, its price will be lower than that of similar electric and water equipment.
- In addition, you are not threatened with defrosting the system or leaking contour tubes.. With a strong cooling of the room, you can heat it for 20-40 minutes (depending on the volume), whereas using water you can achieve the same result no faster than in 3 hours, even if you set the maximum heating temperature on the boiler.
- Due to the movement of air in the room, dust that enters outside. The installation of such equipment also has very useful additional functions — air purification, air conditioning and ventilation — for other systems, the installation of such functions requires additional costs.
- When installing the equipment, automatic locking systems are used, but this is more for the safety of the equipment itself than for people, since the air cannot strike with electricity.
- And finally, there will be no pipes and radiators in the room, which often violate the harmony of the design and have to be decorated, which leads not only to additional costs, but also to heat loss.

Types of air systems
Direct flow system

This method of heating was known in ancient Rome and was called hypocaust, which can be translated from Greek as heated, hot or red-hot. This method was usually used in the homes of nobility and public baths - in the basement settled a large fire chamber, where they burned wood, as well as charcoal or coal.
During the construction of the building, special niches were installed in the floor and walls, along which the hot air of the basement rose, and special holes for ventilation were provided in the roof.
This method is called direct-flow, and the calculation of the air heating system in this case shows that it is too expensive. And all because the main heat energy was spent on heating the thickness of the walls and the floor, from which the air in the room was already heated, besides, most of the heat went through the ventilation ducts of the roof.
It is for this reason that only very well-off people could afford this luxury, and for public baths funds were allocated by the state or collected from citizens.
Recirculation system

When they began to use such a type of fuel as natural gas, then we can say that air heating systems have undergone a revolution. The fact is that there are much less volatile products of combustion, in addition, to capture them, special filters have been developed, which require the installation of instructions from the manufacturer and safety rules.
This know-how allowed the supply of hot air directly into the room, without heating all the walls and the floor and not throwing it into the atmosphere. In this case, the heated air enters the room, and then, being cooled, is led through free channels back to the heating point, forming a closed cycle or recirculation.
Due to the laws of physics, gravity occurs, that is, the molecules of hot air converge when cooled, increasing its density, and it sinks down to where it falls into the drainage channels. It happens that the structural features of a building prevent free recycling and in such cases use forced ventilation.

Recirculating air heating system with installation and operation is very cheap, so its installation in its pure form is very convenient for warehouses and storage facilities where people are not present very often and not in large quantities.
But if it is a production workshop, office, public building or residential building, the percentage of oxygen in the air quickly drops. And besides, it becomes very dry from heating, which is not allowed for a healthy lifestyle. In this regard, the recirculation system in such situations is equipped with the possibility of gas inflow and outflow to the street, and also, if necessary, humidification and ionization systems can be installed.
Note. In addition, air-water and air-oil heating systems have been developed, which are well used for centralized heating of buildings. The essence of the scheme is that the coolant from the boiler is fed to a powerful radiator in the building, from which the air in the room for recirculation is heated.
Do it yourself

Note. After reading the above material, you are most likely convinced that the air heating system at home is a very profitable thing, practical and convenient, and it is possible that you will want to install such equipment in your mansion.
But, taking into account the so-called hand of many of our citizens, we understand that the majority of domestic craftsmen will not want to contact various organizations about installing and running equipment, but will want to do it themselves.
Therefore, we can immediately say that this is quite possible and below we will explain the main points of self-assembly.

Of course, the most basic component of such equipment is a heat generator, and for this purpose the gas gun is most often used. Although electric is also suitable, the first option has more autonomy, therefore, it is used more often.
In addition, for the supply of heated air into the room and its removal, you will need pipes - such pipelines can be flexible and rigid, metal and plastic. In cases where a rigid duct is used, angular fittings are needed, but here angles of 45 ?, so 90? will impede the flow of traffic.

You will also need aluminum tape to seal the duct joints, but if you use rigid pipes, the joints on the fittings can be sealed with silicone. To supply and take air from the room and the street, you will need to purchase grilles, and it is best to have them adjustable.
Then you will have the opportunity to reduce or increase the flow, or even block it tightly if necessary. For fixing the equipment, brackets are needed, as well as a working tool in the form of a perforator, metal shears, metric roulette, electric welding and Bulgarian.

Of course, it is best when the airway is laid during the construction of the building - it is much more convenient to match various communications, but if the house is already standing, then you just have to make the necessary holes with your hands and attach the pipes to the surface.

The most difficult in this situation is the correct selection or self-assembly of the heat-generating unit. But, as we have already said, you can use a heat gun, which you will place in a metal chamber, which will be an ordinary steel box, just try so that the flame does not touch the walls and they do not burn out.
Conclusion
Do not forget that the air heating system is a prospect for the future, so if you have such an opportunity, you will definitely take advantage of it. And if there is an opportunity to purchase a ready-made heating unit and connect it to natural gas, then in this case you will make the most profitable purchase.
