• For cleaning from salt, alkaline and lime scale, all parts are lowered into a small dish and poured with any means for cleaning gas stoves, ovens, etc., for 10-15 minutes.
• After that, all components should be washed with running water., collect the aerator back and it will function as new.

Experiment

In order to check how effective the nozzle is to save water on a mixer, one plumber conducted the following experiment. He put the two-liter empty can in the sink under the faucet without aerator, where the joystick knob was in the middle position and set the timer on the mobile phone for 10 seconds.

The start of the timer and the transfer of the lever up he made at the same time - about the eighth second of the bank began to overflow, that is, in 10 seconds more than two liters of water were accumulated.

After that, he took off the old mesh, which was on the spout and almost did not bring any benefit, and screwed the aerator there. This is all done very easily, with their own hands, without the use of any tool, but if the old nozzle is not removed, then in such cases, of course, use a gas key.

The conditions of the second stage remain the same - the timer is set for 10 seconds, the joystick knob is in the central position, the bank is empty, but at the same time an aerator is screwed on the spout spout. The inclusion of the timer and the start of the water supply occur simultaneously - as a result, for the control period of time, the bank was filled only by one third, although the jet head did not become weaker.

As the saying goes, the game is worth the candle, while the price of the simplest economy is less than $ 1, although there are more expensive ones, for example, a backlit aerator, but this function already refers to the design of the room.

But the backlight is not only for decoration - the color of the jet indicates its temperature, that is, at this or that temperature different blocks of diode backlights light up. So, at water temperatures up to 31? C, the jet glows blue or blue, from 32? C to 43? C - yellow-green, but starting from 44? C, the flow reddens.

Note. The unit that you use to heat the water, in this case does not matter. The aerator sensor responds only to its temperature.

What are adapters for?

Unfortunately, and perhaps for the better, not all spouts have an internal pipe thread on the spout - some are made from the outside, but at the same time almost all aerators are also produced with an external thread.

In such situations, adapters are used, for example, such an adapter, as you can see in the top photo. They are selected for the tap and aerator threads - if on the economizer the thread is usually 241 (diameter-pitch), then the external thread on the nose is often 221, but you need to make sure that you choose the right pipe sleeve for the transition.

In order for you to have the ability to move the angle of the jet direction forward and backward, a movable nozzle with a range of 15? Is used under the aerator. This is especially useful when washing dishes in large sinks.

Also, if there is a large bowl in your sink, can you use an adapter that rotates 360 degrees? and changes the angle of inclination to 15 ?. If we are talking about transitional nozzles, we also mention the threaded choke on the other side, on which you can put on a watering hose. The diameter of the fitting is chosen relative to the cross section of the hose.
