If we talk about the shortcomings, they are not so many. The disadvantages of the system include its relatively small weight. Because of this, there is a risk of "ascent" of a septic tank from the soil during seasonal elevations of groundwater. The manufacturer, however, states that the sprout septic tank is less prone to ascent, yet it is better to make a concrete base (or lay a concrete slab on the bottom) and fasten a septic tank to it. Also disadvantages include the need for periodic pumping of accumulated sediment at the bottom of the septic tank. This will require calling the aspender machine, and therefore additional costs.
