Fully equipped suburban area involves the smooth operation of all communication systems. From electricity, clean drinking water to well-organized sewage disposal.

For high-quality work of sewer system it is necessary to establish a septic tank from eurocubes on a site. You can use other materials that can withstand a hostile environment for a long time - drains.

In our article we will talk about how to make a septic tank of eurocubes with their own hands, made of polymeric materials and reinforced with a frame of galvanized steel. We will also show diagrams and photographs of this septic tank.

Why exactly eurocubes?

Why exactly eurocubes

You have a hard work schedule and you don’t have time to build a septic tank in a brick or concrete dacha, and you must make it. In this case, it is best to make a septic tank to give from the Eurocubes. There is very little work to be done and the structure is robust and reliable.

Plastic is recognized as an ideal material for the construction of a septic tank. Polymers have excellent characteristics. The septic tank does not burst during severe frost and is excellent in resisting to aggressive environments. It is lightweight and easy to install. To create a septic tank does not need additional labor or special equipment.

Tip! Eurocubes come in all sizes and configurations. Thanks to a specially installed frame, they are not deformed under the weight of the earth covered with earth.

Stage # 1

Calculations required. The size of the septic tank chambers in the country depends on the maximum daily consumption of water multiplied by three. For high-quality wastewater treatment you need at least 72 hours.

The septic tank installed by you on the site must contain a volume of liquid equal to the amount of water consumed in three days. In addition, it is necessary to leave a supply of Eurocup room capacity.

Calculation example: Three people live in the house at the same time. Daily average water consumption per person is approximately 200 liters. In one day, the whole family needs an average of 600 liters. In our case, it is necessary to build a septic tank, the total volume of which is 1,800 l.

If you decide that the use of a Eurocup is best for your country house, you need to buy three tanks, the total volume of which will be more than 1800 liters.

Tip! Increase the volume of the septic tank, so that while visiting the dacha for more than 3 people your septic tank does not overflow.

Stage 2

Land works. To install Eurocubs it is necessary to dig pits. Accurately measure acquired containers and begin earthworks. When digging, consider the following:

  • The bottom of the pit is necessarily carpeted with a sand cushion up to 30 cm thick and poured with 20 cm of concrete. From this it follows that the minimum depth of the excavation exceeds the height of the euro cup by at least 50 cm without taking into account the upper layer of backfill.
  • The walls of the pit should be 30 cm larger than the dimensions of the Eurocube around the perimeter.
  • The level of location of the three compartments is different. Water from one tank should flow independently to another.

Stage 3

The construction of cameras. Buying a eurocube, you get almost ready construction for wastewater treatment. Only minor improvements will be needed for the cleaning system to function smoothly. The first container must be connected to the sewer pipe and the adjacent compartment. From the second chamber will also be diverted to the next tank. From the third chamber, one more tap will be needed to organize the filtration field.

In addition to plastic containers, purchase 6 tees and pipes of the same diameter equal to 150 mm. Plastic pipes will need several pieces to create transitions from one compartment to another and equipment vents.

Preparation of Eurocubes for installation in a pit consists of the following work:

  • Cut a hole around the capacity of the container so that a tee can easily pass through it.
  • Departing 20 cm from the top cover on the side wall to make a hole for the sewer or connecting pipe through which the drains will fall into the tank. Inside the compartment to connect the pipe with a tee.
  • Make another hole for the pipe on the opposite wall, departing from the top already 40 cm. In one container, this will be a discharge pipe, which will go into the upper hole of the next compartment, as inlet.
  • On the lid itself is also cut a hole for the installation of the ventilation pipe.

When the septic tank is fully assembled, the first chamber is first installed and connected to the sewer. From the first chamber is diverted to the second chamber. The installation level of the second camera is 20 cm below the level of the first compartment. Two chambers are interconnected by an overflow pipe. The third compartment is located below the second, also 20 cm.

The project may be only two compartments. In this case, the work and costs will be less.

Tight connection

Tip! All pipe connections with eurocubes must be carefully sealed. Air vents are made in each chamber.

Stage 4

Backfilling of the pit. The septic tank chambers must be protected from possible damage during seasonal movements of the soil. For backfilling use a mixture consisting of one part of cement and five parts of sand. Ingredients in a dry form are thoroughly mixed and filled with a layer of no more than 30 cm. Manual tamping is done and the next layer is filled.

Tip! During the backfilling of the pit, it is necessary to simultaneously fill the chambers with water to avoid possible deformation of the Euro cups from being squeezed by the ground.

Ready septic tank

The upper part of the chambers should be protected from freezing by sheets of foam or liquid insulation - penoizol. We told how to use a Eurocup for building a septic tank at the dacha or a country house courtyard.

Filter fields

Filter field

For complete drainage of sewage, it is necessary to construct filtration fields. Such fields can be arranged only when the groundwater lies below 2, 5 meters, sandy loam or sandy soil on the site.

It is not difficult to make a filtration field and does not require a large investment. The positive aspect is that you will independently create the irrigation of your plot by the subsoil method. Of course, when planting garden crops you will have to take into account the location of filtration fields.

Tip! Plastic pipes or special drainage products are used to set up filtration fields. In plastic pipes it is necessary to drill holes through which water will flow into the soil.

In order for the filtration field to work with maximum effect it is necessary:

  • For central channels, use pipes with a diameter of at least 150 mm.
  • To do a pipeline slope of at least 2 cm per meter of pipe.
  • Irrigation pipes should be made up to 20 meters long with a slope of at least 2 mm per meter. Use pipes with a diameter of 75 to 100 mm.
  • At the end of each irrigation pipe, install a vent pipe.

If you correctly combine a septic tank of a Eurocube and a filtration field at the site, your site will be provided with a perfectly working irrigation system and wastewater treatment without harming the environment. The topic of installing a septic tank on the site of the European Cup is completed. Have any questions or suggestions? Leave comments on the article.
