• Products are delivered in coils having a considerable length, so the number of connections can be minimized. In this regard, the tightness of the system is improved.

Addition! The stainless steel corrugation pipe is able to withstand very high temperatures. However, it is not prone to linear expansion, which is not true of plastic analogues.

Manufacturing process

Production of products is carried out on automated lines, allowing to achieve high accuracy when performing the main technological stages. The most high-quality products are produced by Japanese manufacturers, but lately the Latvian product has been popular since the price and quality are equally related.

Requirements for end products

At the exit, there should be elements with a smooth surface without chips, cracks and other defects. The presence of fractures suggests marriage, because such places are potentially dangerous. Over time, a leakage of the working medium may occur through them, and it is no longer possible to restore tightness after this by conventional means.

Manufacturing technology

Stainless corrugated pipe is produced according to a certain principle. The following are the basic steps that underlie a fairly lengthy manufacturing process.

After reviewing the technology, the positive aspects of the material will become apparent.

1. First, the steel strip is pretreated, after which it falls on the forming line, where a cylindrical billet is formed by bending.
2. Next is the welding of the main joint in automatic mode. This operation is performed in a special environment of gases, so the human factor does not affect the quality of the final product.
3. After that, the smooth-wall workpiece is subjected to a rolling process using parts of different diameters. The result is a corrugated stainless steel pipe.
4. At the last stage, it remains only to cut the material into measured pieces with a length of no more than 50 m. The separated parts are wound into special bays so that they can be conveniently transported.

Attention! The step between the convolutions of the corrugations may be slightly different, since different manufacturers adhere to their own standards. However, it practically does not affect the quality of the finished product.

Assembly work

Most often installed stainless corrugated pipe for plumbing or gas supply. Sometimes products are used as an adapter for heating systems. 3. After that, the nut is tightened with the same key, until complete fixation of the product inside occurs.. Tightness is verified by supplying working medium to the system.

Note! If a corrugated stainless steel pipe for gas is installed, increased attention is paid to the joints, because even a small slip can lead to leakage.

Interstate standards

As for the regulations, corrugated products suitable for gas, plumbing or other communication networks must meet the requirements of paragraphs of GOST 10705-80, which contains information about electric-welded elements made of steel. When controlling the quality of the joint by means of a non-destructive method, additional testing by hydraulic pressure is mandatory.

To determine the quality of the selected products is cut on the sample for several types of tests. If we are talking about the test for impact strength, then just taken three templates. As for the chemical composition of the base material - steel, it is determined primarily by the provisions of GOST 22536.0, where the basic information about the standards is located.

Corrugated annealed stainless steel pipe is manufactured according to other standards. The process is governed by paragraphs of GOST 9941-81, which refers to information about seamless heat-deformed products.
