Manufacturing technology

Sewer polymeric pipes can quite serve as drains. For the manufacture of gutters, the pipe must be cut in half with a grinder or hacksaw. After they dock, an excellent tight connection is formed.

So, to do the work yourself you need the following material:

• Gutters. They will be made of polypropylene sewer pipe O110 mm.
• Drainage pipes. For this, it will be necessary to purchase pipes O50 mm.
• Tees that will connect the pipes into one system. On both sides, the tee will have O110 mm, and on one side, O50 mm.

For successful work, it is important to clearly consider the design of the drainage system of sewer pipes. To make the right purchase is recommended to make a project. For this you need:

1. Measure the perimeter of the roof. Based on this data, you can understand how many gutters will need to be mounted. Consider the fact that the purchased pipes will be cut in half, so you need to buy two times fewer pipes than the measurement shows.
2. Think over the system of drainpipes. This will require pipes of Ø50 mm. Their number will be determined by the height of the structure, as well as the number of drainpipes.

Assembly work

For a successful installation of the drainage system of sewer pipes, you must perform all the work in the following sequence.

First of all plastic pipes of O110 mm are sawn along. For this you can use the grinder. To gutters turned out the same size, pre-made wooden templates.

The inlets on the pipes should not be cut, it is necessary to leave a distance of 15–20 cm.

When drains are ready, it is necessary to start mounting brackets. They are mounted on supporting rafters.

As brackets, you can use ready-made structures that are made of durable sheet metal. Also, the brackets can be made independently, but this will take more time.

Tip! The bracket is mounted on each of the walls. It is important to maintain a clear angle of inclination, otherwise the water will stagnate. As a rule, the slope angle is 1 cm per 1 meter of pipe.

To begin with, mount the extreme brackets, and then tighten the thread between them, which will help maintain the correct slope.

Tip! The drainpipe should extend an average of 10 cm from the wall.

When all the fixtures are in place, you can assemble the drainage system into one. Trenches made of sewage pipes can be fastened together with aluminum clips or special glue for polypropylene. When using clips, each joint of the gutter must be treated with a sealant.

Assembly tee is carried out on the same principle as the assembly of sewer pipes. Also use sealant to dock.

At the highest point of the drainage system is installed plug.

You can assemble the entire structure on the ground or directly on the mountings. The choice is yours. Most importantly, follow all existing requirements regarding the construction of a drainage system from sewer pipes.

Tip! The key point will be the removal of the pipe away from the building. Otherwise, water will flow into the foundation and gradually destroy it.
