Required tools

A wide range of adapters and flanges that have appeared today will simplify the task.

• Adapters with a diameter of 50 mm will be required on the sewer pipe of 100 and 110 mm.
• For pipes with a diameter of 32–40 mm, a plastic flange with a diameter of 19–20 mm will suffice.

It will only hold a small operation to block the water.

1. Next, a suitable drill bit is selected and a hole is drilled in the pipe.
2. Then put on the adapter, which will need to be well attached with existing fasteners.
3. A sealant is used to prevent leakage.

Classic tee

Most often, when it is necessary to crash into the sewage system, apply such a proven method as the installation of a tee. But here, too, has its own nuances.

Method 1. It will be necessary to gently saw through and cut a piece of a cast-iron pipe so that a new coupling in the form of a tee fits into this place. If the steel pipe, you will need the help of a welder who must weld the ends around the perimeter.

Method 2 If a plastic sewer pipe is already installed, then after cutting a small piece is inserted that has a spout. Then you can connect additional equipment to it.

Connection to the cast iron pipe

Such an operation will require the use of a flange. It can be made independently. It is necessary to find a section of pipe with the desired diameter. It must be the same size as the external diameter of the cast iron pipe.

1. Usually the flange is fixed by welding, only you need to consider that cast iron is not recommended to cook. Better to do with clamps and sealant. In this quality, epoxy showed itself well.
2. If you need to connect cast iron and plastic, then it will be possible if the pipe is equipped with a socket. It will need to be well cleaned and prepared. The rubber adapter is inserted into the socket and coated with sealant.
3. If there is no bell, then besides a rubber adapter, a plastic one will also be required. It will also be good to clean everything from dirt and level the edges with a grinder. It will only be necessary to put on the rubber adapter from above and grease the sides with a sealant. Then you can insert a plastic adapter, and only then put the pipe.

Connection to plastic pipe

Such a connection is usually not difficult. Preliminary preparation is required.

• First you need to find the appropriate piece of pipe with a suitable diameter. From it cut the pipe.
• Using a core drill, a hole is cut in the plastic pipe, the diameter of which coincides with the diameter of the nozzle.
• The entire inner surface of the flange and the surface around the hole is well lubricated with sealant.
• After that, the flange is put on the pipe and fixed with a clamp. Just do not try hard to tighten them. The appearance of excess sealant will be an indicator. It should be carefully removed in the future.
• It remains to insert the rubber seal and insert the pipe into the nozzle.

Insertion into a metal pipe

Here you can also apply several methods. The flange is made, the internal diameter of which coincides with the external diameter of the pipe. Welding is used for fastening, but you can use sealant and clamps.

Tip! It is best to use a tee for a metal pipe, which has a slightly larger diameter.

A longitudinal section is often used. The branch pipe is welded to the formed opening. Before starting this welding, you need to make sure that there is no water in the pipe.

There are a lot of ways. And here we must take into account such a moment that welding work is not always effective and reliable, so it is best to choose the option that allows you to do without them. The necessary adapters, flanges, tees today are easy to find and find the right size and diameter. The tooling is also quite small.
