  • At the same time, the actual value of this indicator at a particular point is largely determined by its location, and for household appliances it ranges from 2 to 5.5 atmospheres.
  • As an upper limit of pressure, SNIP 2.04.01- 85 indicates a value of 6 bar. With such loads, there is a probability of failure of sensitive plumbing, and the risk of leakage also increases.

The calculation of pressure in the system in this case is carried out according to the following formula:

Р = 10 + height of one floor (m) * (h - 1), where h is the number of floors of the tallest building in the microdistrict that the system serves.

Naturally, only professionals with access to stop valves of central highways can use this formula in practice, but everyone needs to understand the mechanism of calculations. Then, at a minimum, we will be able to reasonably demand compliance with the standards for pressure in our cranes.

Ways to increase pressure

  • First, at the entrance to the apartment, you can install a small pump that operates on the network. Of course, he will not be able to fundamentally correct the situation, but usually it provides a minimum level of 1.5 bar.
  • In a private house, an automatic pumping station that regulates water intake from a source becomes a solution. The installation of a large-capacity pumping tank can increase its efficiency: a reserve corresponding to the daily water demand is sometimes very useful.
