Fortunately, those times were gone when the built-in and mounted systems were the lot of the rich and famous. Now hanging toilet is no longer considered something unusual and extraordinary. Theoretically, any good owner, armed with a traditional tool, is able to mount the system with his own hands. We will now try to consistently analyze the main stages of the work.

Deciding that the installation or the usual toilet is more preferable, let's first clearly define what we are talking about. The term installation in this case means a metal frame that is built into the wall and onto which the toilet bowl, the cistern and all associated fittings are installed. After that, the whole structure except the toilet itself and in some cases the control panel is closed with a false wall.

Why is this option attractive?

Many people prefer this system from the point of view of prestige; indeed, the price of such a toilet bowl will be somewhat higher.

But the matter is not only in cost, such structures still have a number of useful advantages.

• The first thing that strikes you is the visual space.. Subconsciously, a person evaluates the size of the room, looking at the object from top to bottom. If there are no shelves on top, and we have a free niche from below, then the toilet with the installation in the interior of the room will look like a stylish addition, without cluttering the space.
• False wall, in this case, performs a dual function. In addition to purely decorative purposes, it also serves as a good soundproofing gasket. As a result, the unit runs almost silently.
• Such a bathroom is the dream of any hostess.. The floor space is absolutely clean, nothing prevents fast and high-quality cleaning. Moreover, the cistern is also hidden here, so once again you can easily wipe the wall.
  

• All such units are developed relatively recently, so the installation scheme of the toilet bowl provides the function of flush adjustment.. This is becoming increasingly relevant in the light of the constant rise in prices for personal services in general and for water in particular.

However, this approach also has its weak points:

• In particular, opponents of these systems immediately indicate the difficulty of performing repair work. To some extent they are right, in the event of a serious malfunction, it is necessary to dismantle the false walls, which will take time and bring certain inconveniences. Therefore, this probability is better to take into account immediately and provide for hidden fastenings for the shield.
• Now many companies have begun to produce such systems, but not all of them are of good quality. In this case, the name of the manufacturer and the warranty period are of great importance.

Important: some refuse such an attachment option only because visually it does not inspire confidence, a deceptive impression of insufficient reliability is created. So, all the leading manufacturers guarantee that with proper installation, the system is able to withstand a load of at least 400 kg.

What are the systems

In terms of cost, block installation is more affordable. In this case, the emphasis is on the use of powerful anchor bolts, on which the drain tank and the toilet bowl itself are mounted separately.

Such an installation requires a strong load-bearing wall, so it is not acceptable everywhere. Some owners choose it because of the possibility to mount the blocks directly into the wall, but the repair work will be very problematic.

Modern installation is most often performed using a metal support frame, on which all components of the structure are based. The price in this case will not be much more, but to mount such a device is much more convenient, plus it is on such a frame that the biggest guarantee is given.

The device of this design is not very complex. In fact, it is a metal frame, welded or twisted from a stable profile. The entire system is fixed with anchor bolts in 4 places, of which 2 points are on the floor and 2 are attached to the wall.

Dimensions at the same time can be different, from small mini systems designed for small toilet bowls, to wide, durable structures, on which several plumbing fixtures can be hung, for example a toilet bowl and a bidet.

Important: it should also be noted that the frame structures are different. For the combined bathrooms angular options are issued. There are systems designed for fastening to a powerful bearing straight wall and systems designed for installation in light frame or wooden houses.

Subtleties of mounting the system

Do not be scared, to install such structures to learn any special secret knowledge is not needed, enough to be able to work with a puncher and have the skills to build block systems, in other words, to drill and tighten the nuts.

From the tool, in particular, you will need a marker or pencil for marking, a building level, a tape measure, a puncher with a set of drills for concrete, as well as a set of cap and horn keys. As you can see, such a set is in the arsenal of almost any owner.

Tip: Of course, sometimes it is cheaper to buy the system in separate units, but if you haven’t come across such a job, then the installation with the toilet in the kit will suit you best. So the probability of error is practically excluded.

A few words about markup

Whatever type of installation you prefer, in any case, the markup should begin with drawing a central, axial vertical line. Regarding it, you will apply the rest of the markup, so clearly align the line on the level.

Then you can go to the mark of the distance from the front of the structure to the base wall. This distance depends on the method of fixing the sewer pipe, but whatever option you choose, this indent should not be less than 13.5 mm. We finish by marking the place for tank mounting, most often this distance is about 1 m from the horizontal of the floor.

When the marking is completed, you can proceed to the drilling of the mounting holes. Regardless of the type of construction, they always contain vertical and horizontal fastenings.

The instruction here is extremely simple. Drill a hole with a perforator, insert a dowel and screw in the anchor. But with the final fixation, do not forget to check the location of parts by level.

In this case, it does not matter at all what type of system you prefer, the installation instructions for corner and frontal structures are not much different.

So, when everything is already marked up, drilled and inserted anchor, you can directly proceed to the installation of the frame itself. This segment of the installation can be considered one of the most important. The fact is that if you make mistakes here, then the distribution of the load will change, which can lead to very different, but in any case not pleasant consequences.

The hull is set and adjusted simultaneously both horizontally and vertically. The horizontal is exposed with the help of the legs, which have a special well construction and must be firmly fixed after the exposure. The vertical is exposed by screwing or unscrewing the anchor and is also subsequently fixed with a plug.

When the frame has rigidly taken its place, you can proceed to fixing the transitional pipes and supplying communications. As for the pipes, these parts go in a set with a toilet and are usually not sold separately, the only exception is equipment serviced through a network of service centers.

Please note that the bowl of the toilet should not be worn on bare metal studs, the kit must always include plastic gaskets for studs that serve as a seal.

Also, between the toilet and the wall should be mounted soft gasket, it is not always supplied, but you can replace it with linoleum or any similar porous material. This will reduce the likelihood of cracks in the tile.

Tip: nuts during the final fixation of the toilet bowl to the base should be tightened gradually and alternately, so that the bowl sat gently and tightly, without distortions.
