Most gardeners understand that summer shower is sometimes a real panacea, because the arrangement of expensive plumbing fixtures in a room with temporary residence is quite expensive, and, therefore, impractical.

Building such a booth at the site allows you not only to wash, but also to relax during the summer heat, and if you install an electric heater in the tank, you can also wash in spring and autumn - this is especially important during planting and gardening.

Let's consider together the possible options for booths and methods of disposal of waste water, as well as offer to draw your attention to the video in this article.

Fencing materials

PVC Fence
  • One of the lightest materials that can be wrapped around the frame for a shower stall is polyvinyl chloride (PVC) - all you need is a good metal or wooden frame, where the edges of the canvas can be beaten with a stapler. Opaque polycarbonate can be called another lightweight and even more popular material - here the instruction also allows using different frames, but for self-made booths it is much more convenient to use a wooden bar to fix the sheets with self-tapping screws, twisting them without first drilling holes.
Sheeting made of corrugated
  • It is very convenient for wall cladding, as well as for the roof on the structure, as shown in the top photo, to use a professional flooring that may have a different texture, but in principle, any of its modifications are applicable to such structures. The fact is that the coating of any of these sheets has water-repellent properties, which is very convenient for such structures, only the width of the sheet, depending on the labeling, can be different - from 96 cm or more. So the best way to do the frame, focusing on this indicator, so that there is no waste or (worse than that) lack, and in length you can choose any modification, ranging from 120 cm to 2.5 m.
Boardwalk with dressing room
  • Well and, of course, the most popular material for Russia is wood or, as in this case, the planking is not expensive, and its operating life is long enough, though. It is more dependent on the grade and quality of the wood.. In such cases, a variety of options are possible - from the simplest to comfortable cabins with a dressing room and toilet. It all depends on your desire and the availability of space on the plot.
Stone building
  • If you are interested in a good-quality building, then you can use different concrete blocks, a brick or a shell rock for the construction of a room of this type - such a structure will be no worse than the house itself and will stand for many years. But such booths, as a rule, are equipped not only with a tank with an electric heater, a changing room and a toilet, but also with heating devices such as infrared emitters or an electric floor heating, therefore, it is possible to operate them even in winter.

Water tank

Note. As a tank with water, you can adjust any clean barrel and heat it in the sun, but for this you can also use a container with an electric heater.

Tank from stainless steel with TENG with a capacity of 110 l

The tank from the manufacturer, (L / W / H) 625x832x200 mm (steel 1.0-0.8 mm), electric heater power 1.5 kW (with a thermostat) can be installed for almost any shower, more precisely, for a structure closed by any materials.

To do this, you will need to connect a 220V power cable, which you can remove at any time so as not to leave it outside. Such a volume of water, as a rule, is quite enough for a small family of 3-4 people.

Plastic tank with heating element capacity 150l

It is noteworthy that the tanks from the manufacturer, made of plastic, behave no worse than steel, but at the same time they have a number of advantages that stainless steel does not have.

Firstly, they are 3-4 times lighter, which considerably facilitates their installation, secondly, similar structures have passed the test at car races on the Murmansk-Vladivostok highway as fuel tanks and, thirdly, their cost is about four times ( 4 !!!) lower than that of similar metal containers, and this is all with an equivalent operational resource!

Tubular Heater

Whatever it was, but for the products from a third-party manufacturer you have to pay your money, but the construction of a country house shower allows you to use tanks with a self-built tubular electric heater (TENG).

As a rule, devices with a capacity from 1.5 to 2.5 kW are used here, and both simple and block heating elements can be used, which can have not one, but three filaments, and this naturally allows them work in three temperature conditions.

It is very good if during installation of an electric heater any switch is mounted - a thermostat, a thermal relay or a simple sachet with which the modes are manually switched, but the first and third options are possible only when you use the heating element block or you install two conventional devices with parallel connecting to the network.

This allows you to adjust the temperature of the water, and in the case of a thermal switch and a thermostat, turn off the electric heaters altogether and turn them on again at a certain temperature point.

Recommendation. In any case, the heating element will be installed at the bottom of the tank, but you understand that for the integrity of the device it must always be in the water. To make this possible even when the tank is empty, install the shower head fitting 1-2 cm above the heating element level.

Plum arrangement

Separator of two barrels

Whatever it was, but if you decide to build a dacha shower with your own hands, then it is best for you to equip a septic tank so that soapy water does not accumulate on the ground - this will in time cause unpleasant smells that can be avoided during cleaning. For this design, you will need only two old plastic or metal barrels, which will need to be dug into the ground to a depth corresponding to the slope of the sewage pipe, and the next - 30 cm deeper - you can see an example in the top photo.

But they still need drainage - a hole is dug out for this, and river sand is poured there first, and then rubble, although it is best to replace mineral filters with compost - the water at the outlet to the ground will be clean.

Sewage slope table

To drain in the cabin, if you do not install a pallet there, it is best to make a screed and install a ladder in it - so you can drain all waste water without polluting the soil nearby, therefore, your facility will meet all sanitary and hygienic standards.

But in order for the soapy water to escape without problems, you need to observe the slope of the sewage pipes - this is especially true for buildings that are equipped with a toilet bowl at the same time, that is, there is also a need for flushing feces. In order not to be mistaken when laying communications, you can use the table above.

In addition, if the floor in the shower stall you have no curbs, the water can spill out, without falling into the drain hole of the grating. Therefore, the place where the bathing should take place should have a slope to the sides of the drain - it will be something like a funnel, only very shallow.

Conclusion

Based on the material above, you can choose any device for a country shower with your own hands, that is, it concerns the materials for finishing the cabin, the water tank, its method of heating and the quality of the drain. Your choice should also depend on how often you are going to use this structure, and this directly depends on the time of your stay at the cottage.
