Water supply

In this article, we will explore the product of the domestic industry, hiding under the unassuming title 11s67p. We will study the device and the main technical characteristics of the ball valve 11s67p. In addition, we have to get acquainted with the variants of its execution and typical problems of the valve, which can be solved independently.

Our hero.

Description

Device

Before us is a typical ball valve with a ball seal with PTFE seats. Fluoroplastic ring seals and valve stem; it is tightened by a nut, allowing you to adjust the degree of compaction. Saddles are pressed to the ball with a pair of stainless cup springs.

This is how the 11s67p flanged ball steel valve is arranged.

The following elements are numbered in the diagram:

  1. Housing
  2. Ball.
  3. Stock.
  4. Push sleeve.
  5. PTFE seat ball.
  6. Clip PTFE seat.
  7. Disc spring.
  8. Sealing gasket.
  9. Rod sealing ring.
  10. O-ring housing.
  11. Gasket under the shell of the rod.
  12. Lever.
  13. Connecting stud.
  14. Nut.
  15. Spring washer.
  16. Flat washer.

Nuance: depending on the design of the valve, the housing can take on different geometric shapes and become non-separable. A little later we will get acquainted with several versions 11s67p.

This product is not only mounted by welding, but does not disassemble.

Specifications

The description of the crane 11s67 can be found on numerous websites of manufacturers and dealers. We give its main characteristics.

Parameter Value
Workspace Steam, water, oil and petroleum products, gas (natural and propane-butane), other gaseous and liquid chemically non-aggressive media
Working temperature -30 - +200 ะก
Operating pressure 16, 25 or 40 kgf / cm2 depending on the version of the body
Pipeline connection Flange, threaded, welded
Installation position Not regulated
Direction of flow through the valve Not regulated
Body material Carbon steel
Shutter Ball Material Stainless steel
Seal material PTFE
Mean time to failure At least 500 cycles

Useful: working pressure is usually indicated on the label. The inscription on the housing RU16 means that the valve is designed for a working pressure of 16 atmospheres. The marking also includes the size of the pipeline being connected: for example, DN50 RU16 is a valve 50 mm in size, operating in an environment with pressure up to 16 kgf / cm2.

Perhaps a potential buyer will be useful some amount of additional information.

  • The valve is not intended for pipelines transporting toxic substances.
  • The tightness of the shutter belongs to class A according to the classification of GOST 9544.
  • The flanged ball valve 11s67p is manufactured according to GOST 28343, GOST 21345 and TU U 04671406-003-1999.
  • Valves with coupling attachment (threads) are made up to the size of DN50.
  • The maximum size of the valve offered by domestic online stores - DU500.
  • All products larger than DU250 are equipped with a gearbox that allows turning the rod without excessive effort.
Version of the valve with gear.
  • The minimum wholesale price of a product (DU10, coupling connection) is about 800 rubles. Maximum (DU500 for flange connection with a gearbox) exceeds half a million.

Execution options

We give a description of several varieties 11s67p offered by the domestic enterprise Marshal.

Flange

That it is shown in the diagram at the beginning of the article. Characteristic features - a split housing connected by studs, and a seal between the housing elements, made with paronit gaskets.

The main advantage of flange connection is quick installation and disassembly, which can be performed in conditions of space shortage.

Useful: the ball flange valve has the same installation length as the valve of the corresponding size. This feature allows you to replace a faulty gate valve with a valve without using welding for pipes.

The flange valve can be installed in place of the iron gate valve without adaptation of the pipeline.

Coupling

Threaded (coupling) connection, as already mentioned, is typical for products of small size - up to DN 50 inclusive. Valves are marked as 11s67p1TSR. The letters at the end are abbreviations from all-welded and threaded.

Captain Evidence suggests: the all-welded hull is not disassembled. A valve malfunction (other than a stem seal leak) means that it must be replaced.

Coupling connection for a consumer means a couple more unpleasant moments.

  1. For reversible installation with the possibility of dismantling the valve must be equipped with a gantry, which makes it impossible to install on short straight sections of pipelines.
  2. In cold water, steel pipe threads for several years of operation are firmly stuck together.. To disassemble the threads have to warm them up to red heat. It is easy to guess that when a small body is heated up to 600-800C, all polymer seals are sent to a better world.

Welded

The valve is welded to the pipeline section. Long nozzles for welding do not allow the seal to burn in the process of welding. Dismantling is performed by gas welding or a conventional grinder; valve body can be either collapsible or all-welded.

Flanged

These products differ from conventional flange shorter body, and are intended for installation in new pipelines of buildings under construction. They are marked as 11s67PSUF and are performed only with collapsible housings, allowing you to replace seals and even the locking ball.

Faults

The list of faults that can be fixed by hand in the field is small.

For the sake of justice, we note that ball valves fail extremely rarely.

  • In the event of a leakage through the rod, the manufacturer's instruction is reduced to tightening the sleeve or replacing the sealing ring. To replace the valve does not need to disassemble - just enough to close it and turn out the sleeve with the handle removed.
  • If the valve lets water through, it is often enough to tighten the studs connecting the body. If the tightening does not help, the body is opened to replace the sealing rings.

Conclusion

We hope that our brief acquaintance with the relatively uncommon element of valves and fittings will help the reader to choose the optimal solution for his purposes. The video in this article, as usual, will offer additional information. Successes!
