Factory and homemade tank for heated showers
Most owners of country houses believe that a 200-liter heated shower tank (or a smaller volume) is not necessary, since solar energy is sufficient for this, although not everyone shares this opinion. And this is true, because, firstly, not every summer day is hot, and secondly, since the morning the water will not be warm and, thirdly, it is necessary to use this sanitary unit not only in summer, but also in spring, during planting and fall, while cleaning the garden.

We will tell you in general about what you can buy in the store, what you can do yourself, and in addition we will provide the video in this article.

Store Capacity Overview
Note. You can also purchase a shower tank without an electric heater in order to install it yourself, as required by the instructions.

The size of a real tank (length / width / height) is 625x832x200 mm and if it is filled to the brim, then not even 100, but a full 110 liters of water (1.0 mm thick stainless steel sheet) will enter.
An electric heater with a power of 1.5 kW is installed there for heating, and with the help of the built-in thermostat it is possible to regulate the temperature from 20 ° C to 80 ° C (heating elements with such a power will be enough for 150 liters). For filling and control of the water level, there are two fittings, one by 3/4 and the other by 1/2 inch.
Such heated and thermostatic shower tanks have a removable cover that will be needed for maintenance inside the tank (washing and cleaning). The thermostat is located under the cover of the electrical cable connection - access is very easy. The manufacturer also supplies a shower head with a tap - you don’t have to purchase them separately.

And the retail price of such a capacity in Moscow is only 350 rubles - agree that this is just a find!
What can you do yourself

- But the shower cabin with a tank and heating can be equipped by you yourself, that is, you can buy a large metal or plastic barrel, a fuel tank, or you can weld such a container yourself with galvanized or stainless steel (you can even with ferrous metal). A more serious problem in this case is, perhaps, the installation of heating elements of the required power - you will need to fix it so that there are no leakages at the junction. To do this, use metal washers and rubber or paronitovye gaskets.
- In plastic holes you can always make a crown cutter, but in a metal container this will not work.. There you will have to draw a circle around the diameter of the fitting of the heater and go through it with a small drill of 2-3 mm. After this, process the hole with a semicircular file.
Conclusion
As you understand, the capacity for the dacha shower can be purchased at the store, but you can do it yourself. Buying it in finished form, you save time, but by making it yourself, you can reduce its cost by half (see also the article Installing a Metal Tank for a Shower: a description of the work).
