Machine for drilling water wells: features, varieties,
Drilling wells at home is always complicated by the limited size of the site and the impossibility of maneuvering heavy installations on it. The price of the work of serious equipment and a staff of specialists capable of managing such equipment is no less an obstacle.
We will tell about drilling machines for wells that can be used in various conditions, including limited geographically or financially.

Water Well Drilling Equipment
Small drilling rigs

Small-sized drilling rigs are devices designed for the development of shallow and medium depth wells, equipped with a frame, an electric, fuel or other drive engine, a winch to raise working bodies, a gear mechanism, a device for facilitating the casing of the barrel with pipes and drilling tools.

The power of the engines used in such structures is usually small and is in the range of 2 to 4 kW, however, there are also much more powerful models. In any case, even a small capacity is enough for the construction of a well for the needs of one or several country farms.
This type of equipment can be mounted on a self-propelled or chassis with an external force, while the device can be tracked or wheeled. As a rule, the system has a modular design that allows you to disassemble the structure for ease of transportation and the possibility of using the installation in spatially limited conditions.

Models of MBU differ depending on the method of drilling, the technique of movement, type of work, purpose, type of tools used, type of drive, working depth, diameter and other characteristics.
In addition to the development of water wells, MBUs are capable of drilling holes for piles, columnar foundations, fences, exploration wells, and also used for various branches of seismic exploration and engineering works.

The depth of drilling of such systems usually does not exceed 50 meters, but there are also deeper drills. The maximum working diameter of the well is 250 mm, which is quite enough for a private well.
The advantages of small cars are obvious:
- A fairly simple device that allows you to understand and cope with the management of the system, even for an inexperienced user who does not have specialized education and special knowledge. In addition, a simple design is always more reliable and durable;
- Relatively light weight. This is a very important advantage that allows the device to be transported by passenger cars with a trailer or a small Gazel-type minibus;
- Low cost of equipment and quick payback for commercial use;
- Small overall dimensions, both assembled and disassembled. This greatly facilitates transportation and allows the installation to be used in cramped conditions of rooms, basements or small courtyards;
- Relatively low cost of drilling;
- Accuracy process. Unlike large installations, MBUs do not harm the territory in which they operate, which is important for owners of inhabited and equipped sites;
- Work does not require highly skilled workers or service personnel, which also reduces the cost of the process.

Note! When developing deep (over 15 - 25 meters) wells, you will need equipment for casing installation. Therefore, it is better to select an installation equipped with a system for fixing the column when installing additional sections.
Manual motor-drills

For drilling sandy aquifers and drilling shallow wells, you can use manual drills with a motor on a fuel or electric course. The presence of a gasoline unit allows you to use the device in the field and does not depend on the power source.
This unit has a small size that allows you to transport it even on a car or public transport unassembled.

The system is a screw auger, which is attached to the drive gear. The gearbox is connected via a gear system to the motor shaft, which tells it a certain torque and speed of rotation.
The engine and gearbox are mounted on a steel frame with handles for one or two operators, there is also a fuel tank, a starting system and adjusting the fuel supply (current power).

The depth of drilling depends on the specific model and set of extension rods for the auger, but, as a rule, does not exceed 30 - 50 meters. This is quite enough for the development of sandy and even pressure aquifers.
The instruction does not require you to have special knowledge, skills or tolerances for working with such installations. This design is ideal for do-it-yourself work in conditions of limited budget or inaccessibility for more serious equipment.
Note! When working with an electric drive, it is necessary to strictly observe the safety precautions for electrical installations, especially since we will have to work in conditions of high humidity.
Conclusion
In the era of scientific and technological revolution and the universal robotization, the use of manual labor looks ridiculous, especially in such a laborious business as drilling wells.
Today, all kinds of machines and installations for the development of rock and the opening of aquifers have become available to the general consumer, which, at relatively small costs, significantly speeds up and simplifies the construction of the aquifer well, as the video in this article clearly demonstrates.
