• Let's start with the fact that the shower device in any case implies the presence of a mixer that functions, that is, it regulates the water supply with the help of stop valves and if you have a faucet with two regulators (one for the cold and one for the hot water), then there in any case, as a constipation, there is a crane. We will tell about their device a little later, and now we note that the valves on such mechanisms work half a turn and the whole cycle of pressure adjustment lies precisely in this gap.

• Also in the shower parts can be included a mixer with one regulator - as a rule, it is a lever, like a joystick, mounted on a rod, which is driven by a cartridge plate, which is located in the housing as a stop valve. It has three openings - two of them serve as an entrance for hot and cold water, and the third - the exit of the mixed liquid on the spout spout.

So, when the knob is rotated to the left and right, the plate partially or completely covers one of the inlets, and when the joystick moves up and down, the plate opens or closes the exit channel - this is clearly seen in the diagram above.

• Very similar in principle to the mixer with ball valves (although its price is slightly higher) - the ball also has two inlets and one outlet, only here the rod moves not the plate, but the ball itself in the housing chamber, substituting the holes for the partitions and reducing or increasing their bandwidth. Such a device is more reliable and repair in this case may be extremely rarely required, although everything breaks down, so that when purchasing such a device, you should not hope for its eternal use.

• For shower boxes, embedded faucets are often used for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 modes, that is, one valve regulates water pressure, and the other - its temperature (see photo above), and by setting a certain option, you don’t have to after each inclusions adjust degrees. Cartridges are also used as stop valves here, only for changing modes this device is slightly modified, although it has the same principle of operation.

Repair and replacement of valves

Let's start with the cartridges and balls - such fittings for showers cannot be repaired - they simply change it, that is, it can be repaired, as it were, only for a short time, and this valve is inexpensive, so it is easier to buy a new one. The mixer is disassembled here in the usual way - first, the screw on the joystick is unscrewed and it is removed, then the dome (decorative nut) is unscrewed, and the locknut after it. Everything - after that the ball or cartridge can be pulled out and replaced with a new one.

The crane box can be taken somewhat differently, of course, the instruction also recommends not repair, but replacement, but, nevertheless, repair work for such stop valves gives a good effect. To make it clearer, let's examine how this part functions - in the upper figure you can see that there is a movable and fixed ceramic plate and water flows through their holes.

When the movable plate rotates, the hole either decreases, or grows, or overlaps in general, and this pair is very well lapped to each other, but when the rubber ring is worn, the junction weakens and leakage occurs.

In order to repair the crane with your own hands, you first need to pull it out of the case and disassemble - you can get it in the same manner as the cartridge and when it is in your hands, remove the retaining ring from it, after which The stock and all other parts will be released.

To make the rubber ring clamp the same, you can go two ways and one of them is to make a wire washer and place it under the gum. The second, more reliable method is when 2-3 layers of electrical tape are stuck onto a movable ceramic plate - the rod lags further and the density on the ceramic pair increases.

I would like to note one more thing that relates directly to water, this is when the shower hits the current - you turn on the mixer and feel the characteristic taste in the tongue, and sometimes even stronger sensations. This means that somewhere, perhaps even at the neighbors, the bare wire touches the metal parts of the water supply system, and you can check it like this - turn off both traffic jams (automaton) and try - if everything is lost, then this is from you, and if not, means from the neighbors.

Tip: If you have it, then at the output from the meter (not at the entrance!), Swap the zero with the phase - this is a temporary measure, but it is usually enough, and if somewhere from your neighbors, you should contact the local grid.

Problems with fencing

It is noteworthy that nowhere in the manual does not mention the sealing of the cabin and when it is collected, it begins to pass water, and this is not the shower doors (there are special seals), but the location of the frame for the fence.

Therefore, when mounted on guides, as well as the profile that is put on the pallet, silicone sealant is necessarily smeared under them - this serves as something of a cut-off waterproofing.

• Another problem is transparency - most often they buy booths with just such, but then it turns out that it interferes, because during the bathing of one person it is difficult to let anyone into the bathroom, except for her spouse.
