Purpose of use

The installation of the safety device begins with the installation of an sealing ring, which is worn on the edge of the casing.

Properly equip a well is impossible without the use of a special cap or tip. Some believe that it is enough to wrap the top of the pipe with a film or to cover the bucket and it will be quite enough. This opinion is erroneous..

Such an attitude towards the well will certainly shorten its service life. If you want the water-lifting equipment to serve you for a long time, then you should know that the special cover installed on time on the well will help you with this.

The lid is not very different from the tip, the functions they perform the same, but the price of the tip is somewhat higher. It is believed that the tightness when installing the tip is higher, but for household wells it is enough to use high-quality caps.

Important. The most important condition when choosing a protective device is that it must tightly close the borehole. If you decide to make the product yourself, then pay special attention to the sealing.

The lower part of the body is fixed on the casing over the sealing ring with special bolts, firmly tightening them.

Installing a protective device on the casing performs the following functions:

  1. does not allow hit in the trash and dirt;
  2. does not allow water-loving insects, amphibians and other small individuals to hit the target;
  3. if available, the equipment located in the alignment will be reliably protected from thieves and vandals;
  4. electrical installation will be safer if available;
  5. reliably isolates the mouth from melt water;
  6. helps to increase the flow rate of the system.

Kinds

The power cable is inserted into a special hole on the bottom of the case.

Well caps are used to seal the wellhead.

Make them from the following materials:

  1. plastic;
  2. aluminum;
  3. cast iron;
  4. from metal and plastic in various combinations.

Since the well cap is attached with the help of tightening bolts, the safest thing is to use aluminum products. Plastic is less reliable when it comes to tightening, and cast iron can burst.

In the case of all types of covers there is a hole for the input of the power cable. Air circulation in the alignment is ensured by the fact that the body has a valve for ventilation. If desired, this valve can be silenced.

These products for protection are universal, that is, those that can be mounted on casing pipes of different diameters, and are designed for specific pipe sizes, for example:

  1. 125 mm;
  2. 127 mm;
  3. 133 mm;
  4. and others.

Installation

The installation process of protective products manufactured by different companies is fundamentally the same; their installation follows a general scheme. First of all, the edges of the casing line are smoothed and cleaned, all irregularities and burrs are smoothed out. This must be done to achieve in the subsequent normal sealing.

Installation takes place after the installation of water-lifting equipment and its test run. In fact, this installation completes the installation phase.

Step-by-step instructions for installing a protective product on the casing:

  1. exactly the edge of the casing is trimmed;
  2. the edge is cleaned, all the notches and burrs are removed;
  3. A rubber ring is installed on the edge of the pipe, in the future it will play the role of a seal;
  4. from the lower part of the case all special installation bolts are unscrewed;
  5. then the lower part of the body is put on the casing on top of the sealing ring;
  6. the lower part of the product is fixed with previously removed special installation bolts;
  7. an electrical cable is inserted into the hole for power supply;
  8. screwed in a special fitting to protect the cable;
  9. a safety cable is put in a special hole;
  10. safety cable is clamped;
  11. then the upper part of the body is closed, this is done by aligning the centering pin with the groove on it;
  12. the upper part is fastened and tightened with a fastening bolt;
  13. well cap installed.

Important. The fastening of the pump to the cable with the help of this protective product is as secure as possible, since the cable is fixed with a strong metal clip.

The reliability of the water supply system and the quality of the incoming water are directly dependent on the degree of protection of the wellbore from falling into it of various debris.
