What are the drainage systems for showers at the dacha
It is possible to remove water from the floor, where the place for bathing is located, with the help of various devices - these are drainage grates for the shower (ladders) made of plastic and steel, as well as sanitary siphons with and without a valve. In addition, drains need somewhere and somehow divert, for which cesspools, septic tanks or public sewage are used - all this requires a fairly large amount of work and financial costs.
But such installation is quite possible on its own and we will tell you more about this, as well as provide you with the video in this article.

Different drain options
Ladders and siphons

- First, let's define what a ladder is and what it is for.. This is a drainage device, which is mounted flush with the floor or slightly lower, through which the waste water enters the sewage system — the top is protected by a grate. In general, you can find drain ladders for the soul of stainless steel, cast iron and plastic, although the latter are most common - they have a fairly low price and a huge operating resource, because such material does not practically wear out.
- When installing such systems, it is very important that there is an opportunity to make a drain on the sewage pipes, while respecting the proper slope, which sometimes causes great difficulties.. It is for this reason that the ladders are almost never used in the bathrooms of high-rise buildings, since the design of the premises does not allow the pipe to be slid into the floor under a slope, as required by the instructions.

- In shower cabins with a pallet it is much easier to solve the problem of the slope of sewage pipes, since the pallet is 10-15 cm above the floor and this is usually enough to withstand the angle of the drainage system.. In this regard, for the cabins, as a rule, plumbing siphons are used, which by their design are very similar to the ladder, only the drainage hole is much smaller. Just like the ladder, the siphon has a blind loop in which water constantly collects and because of this, the smell from the sewage does not enter the room.

- If you have a bottom or drain valve for a shower cabin, it means that the pan is deep enough and can be used as a trough or a small bath for soaking clothes and even for bathing children.. Such a device allows you to block the mouth of the siphon, keeping water in the tank, but if necessary, using the simplest mechanism with steel cable, you can easily open it, and the water will go down the drain. Of course, the cost of such a device for draining water is much higher than usual, but they are happy with it, especially for young mothers and housewives in general.
Note. In the suburban areas, where there is no sewage system, you can make a grated floor and equip a shower drain from concrete or even boards, along which water will flow into the cesspool.
Sewer system for shower

Whatever the sewage system is, but for it it is necessary to observe a slope of 10-15 mm per 1 running meter, but given the fact that only clean or soapy water can be drained from the shower, the angle of the gasket can be increased here.
These 10-15 mm per meter are extremely important for solid waste and faeces - with a smaller slope the flow rate will not be enough to wash everything off the pipe, and if the angle is made larger, the water will simply leak and will not have time to carry out solid formations. But the distribution of pipes always goes somewhere and it can be a public sewer riser in an apartment, a septic tank or a drain hole for a shower in the country.
Note. If you do not have the ability to make a slope for distributing sewage from the shower, then you can use a drain pump for a shower cabin. Such units are used as additional circulating pumps for heating systems, but you should definitely install an inlet filter.

Of course, the cesspool at the dacha is a fairly simple, quick solution to the problem of draining sewage from the shower cabin, but, as we said above, it is better to use a septic tank for this purpose - the waste water will not deteriorate in this artificial reservoir and in your site there will be no unpleasant odors.
To make such a structure, you can go two ways - to buy a system in a store (it consists of two or three containers) or to make such a device with your own hands that will cost much less.

It is pretty easy to make a septic tank on your own. But for this you will need concrete rings, as in the photo above - they are usually used for the installation of wells. The system consists in the fact that the entrance of the sewer pipe to each of the wells is slightly higher than the output, which contributes to the natural filtration of water.

It turns out that in the first well the heaviest particles fall to the bottom, in the second one those that managed to slip through the first trap fall out - a twist contributes to this, and only in the third well do you make a filter of fine gravel and sand through which water goes to the ground.
If you want the wastewater to be maximally purified, then you can get tablets for a septic tank - throw them into the last tank according to the dosage indicated on the package.
Conclusion
You see that it is easiest to equip a shower from a shower in a multi-storey building, leading it to the sewer riser. The private sector does not represent such opportunities, therefore, to keep the site clean, you will have to make some effort.
